This project supports the capacities of three local policy research organizations, Advancing Life and Regenerating Motherland, the Centre for Economic and Social Development, and the Centre for Development and Ethnic Studies, to provide contextually relevant evidence and research to catalyze policy changes in Myanmar. It will strengthen organizational processes, including strategic planning, communications capacities, resource mobilization, monitoring and evaluation, gender-sensitive human resource development, and sound financial management. It will also strengthen think tank capacities to produce high quality research and evidence based on sound organizational processes and research practices to influence policy dialogue and change in Myanmar.

More specifically, the project will:

  • Strengthen office and research support infrastructure to improve organizational effectiveness (i.e. strategic and operational planning);
  • Establish a research quality mechanism to promote and ensure research quality;
  • Develop organizational processes to improve communication capacity and enable more effective policy engagement;
  • Identify new collaborative opportunities through participation in national and regional networks.
