Knowledge for Democracy Myanmar promotes diverse, informed, and engaged public participation that is essential to effective and sustained reform. The following themes are on the agenda for public meetings :
- Managing challenges during Myanmar’s transition
- Research systems in Myanmar: the context, actors, and relevant policies, norms, and services that shape how social science research is carried out and used
- Gender equality and decentralization
- Labour migration
- Lessons learned from 10 years of the Think Tank Initiative in 20 countries
There will be sessions reserved for program grantees and partners, including training on fundraising, research ethics, gender equality in research, and communications.
On July 10, a veritable marketplace will allow participants to exchange information on their research activities, programs, and policies for social and economic transformation in Myanmar and to identify potential collaborations and partnerships.
