K4DM Photo Exhibition at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC)
This exhibition “Through Eyes of Leadership: Women of Shan State” is part of the Knowledge for Democracy Myanmar (K4DM) initiative event “KNOWLEDGE MARKETPLACE – Bangkok 2022: Exchanging Ideas for a Democratic Myanmar“

The exhibit features images of the women of Shah state taken by SHWE PAW MYA TIN originally appearing in the Myanmar Institute for Integrated Development (MIID) photo essay Voices of Ethnic People In Shan State About Gender Equality, highlighting 16 case studies from their research to identify factors affecting women’s economic, political and social empowerment.
