Myanmar Institute of Gender Studies (MIGS) was founded in 2015 to accelerate the 2030 Agenda, building movement for the effective implementation of the new sustainable Development Goals in Myanmar, especially goal number five-Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls-and women participation in peace and political process. It has developed capacity building programs on gender and politics, gender based violence, Women, Peace and Security ( WPS ) , gender and SSR, research program and other related gender and development issues.
