The Knowledge for Democracy Myanmar (K4DM2) initiative, implemented by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) with funding from Global Affairs Canada (GAC), aimed to strengthen democratic resilience in Myanmar by supporting research capacity, higher education, and evidence-based policymaking.
This 2nd phase of K4DM focused on protecting independent scholarship, sustaining knowledge production, and supporting networks of researchers and civil society actors inside Myanmar, across Southeast Asia, and within the global diaspora. This infographic is a snapshot into how K4DM encouraged academic freedom and supported higher education.
