In a report by Janella Hamilton on CBC Vancouver News (CBC News), British Columbians share how they are helping those impacted by Myanmar’s civil unrest.

Featuring interviews from (in order of appearance in the interview):

  • Oo Soe, now a political activist, who was in high school during the 1988 student-led civil disobedience movement. 
  • Su Thet San, University of British Columbia School of Public Policy and Global Affairs master’s student and a Knowledge for Democracy Myanmar (K4DM) fellow
  • Aung Tin, owner of Amay’s House Restaurant and part of the Burmese community fundraising through Burmese cuisine.
  • Millen Kim, University of British Columbia student, Chin Youth Organization of North America member, and K4DM workshop participant.
