Dr Phyu Phyu Thin Zaw is lecturer at the University of Hong Kong’s School of Public Health. She has a background as medical specialist in epidemiology and in public policy. Dr Tual Sawn Khai has completed his doctorate in Sociology and Social Policy at Lingnan University in Hong Kong. He is an expert in migration and has previous experience working in both government and civil society.
The Myanmar-Australia Fellowship Program is a collaboration between the University of Melbourne and the Australian National University, with part support also from the International Development Research Centre – Canada. The Program gives academics and researchers an opportunity to spend one month in Australia hosted by the two universities, participating in public events, networking and engaging in research activities. In 2023, Myanmar education experts Dr Khaing Phyu Htut and Dr Peter Suante participated in the fellowship program. Expressions of Interest for the 2025 Fellowship will be invited at the end of 2024.
